| Fin-Nor's
beginnings go back to the glory days of big game fishing,
when angling greats such as Ernest Hemingway, Tommy Gifford
and Alfred Glassell, Jr. were expanding the sport's horizons.
The brand was born in a Miami machine shop owned by Mr. Finley
and Mr. Norwood, where they produced their first big game
reel in 1933.
72 years and 204 IGFA records later, W.C. Bradley Corporation,
owner of other avid fishing brands such as Van Staal and Quantum
PT, added Fin-Nor to the family in 2005. W.C. Bradley has
begun an update process of the product line, including some
of the classics, utilizing new technologies and designs while
remaining true to the Fin-Nor heritage of craftsmanship and
durability. The new Fin-Nor Ahab and Offshore spinning reels
represent one of the best combinations of old craftsmanship
and new design and materials technology. |
