Mosquito
Creek Outdoors is proud to bring Europe's most popular brand of fly fishing
tackle to Central Florida and the greater Orlando area.
In 1968 two former Hardy Bros. employees formed Greys of Alnwick. Utilizing
their experience at Hardy’s, combined with continued cooperation,
Greys began producing the most value packed, technologically advanced
fishing tackle in Europe. Greys was acquired by Hardy in 1999 bringing
their expertise in quality outsourcing. That expertise, combined with
Hardy's experience and knowledge base, plus the technology being generated
by Hardy Advanced Composites allowed them to create the strongest brand
of fly fishing tackle in most of the world. With Hardy & Greys North
America facility being constructed in 2008, Mosquito Creek Outdoors is
proud to bring the Greys fly fishing rods and reels to the Orlando and
Greater Central Florida area.
Greys'
philosophy is best summed up by Richard Sanderson the Hardy and Greys'
Managing Director in the 2009 Greys' catalog:
“There's no doubt about it. Great anglers use great tackle.
And we have the best of both worlds here at Greys.
Our experts, like Nick Hart, John Bailey, Rebecca Thorpe, John Horsey,
Chris Ogborne and Henry Gilbey to name but a few, are demanding anglers,
and any of the Greys equipment they use is thoroughly tested before it
gets into this catalogue.
We love glowing reviews and winning awards (and we do get quite a few)
but it's the fact that Greys is the gear of choice for so many top flight
anglers that pleases us most. These men and women cannot afford their
gear to let them down and that's why we are proud they choose Greys. Great
design. Great materials. Great build quality. Great prices. Lifetime guarantees.
Their backing is as good an endorsement as you can get in game fishing.
How do we do it? It's all down to common sense, about sourcing the best
materials and employing the best product development managers like Howard
Croston and Alastair Dandie. We are surrounded by the leading
technicians in the sport - Chris Bond, Charlie Norris, Colin Skeene and
Roy Bell. And, of course, they use the most modern technology in the world.
We maintain our base in Alnwick but also have superb manufacturing partners
around the world. We have salesmen who are mad about fishing and the product.
And all our retailers love Greys because they can trust our products,
and satisfied customers return to buy more.
That's Greys, and that's what Greys is all about.
A true fisherman's brand."
