Uniqua has a “North American Western Action” that is easy
loading and has a sharp recovery. With a broad range of lengths and weights
available it could be said Uniqua is the Hardy versatile general purpose
fly fishing rod series that is high performance yet easy to master. These
rods are extremely capable with every fly line design. Shorter, light
weight Uniqua fly rod models are excellent for small stream work while
the 9’, 9’ 6”, and 10’ models respond equally
well for fishing the saltwater flats in Florida or fast moving rivers
in Alaska.
The
Hardy Uniqua fly reels are a modern classic in the Hardy Performance Reel
category. The HRUUS Hardy Uniqua fly reel was patterned after the Sirrus
reel that was produced through 2007. The HRUUS Uniqua was produced in
2009 only, has now been retired and is sure to be a collector's reel in
the future. Lightweight,
beautiful and immensely durable the Uniqua HRUUS fly reels have a sensitive,
offset drag system with a smooth, quickly adjustable "Rulon"
disk and large backing capacity.
