Hardy Uniqua Fly Fishing Reels

The Hardy Uniqua fly reels are a modern classic in the Hardy Performance Reel category. The HRUUS Hardy Uniqua fly reel was patterned after the Sirrus reel that was produced through 2007. The HRUUS Uniqua was produced in 2009 only, has now been retired and is sure to be a collector's reel in the future. Lightweight, beautiful and immensely durable the Uniqua reel is available in 5 sizes that will accommodate 3 weight all the way to 12 weight fly line with large amounts of backing. The Uniqua has a sensitive, offset drag system with a smooth, quickly adjustable "Rulon" disk. Uniqua sizes 1, 2, and 3 are cageless, while sizes 4 and 5 have a cage that provides added strength for big fish. On the larger cage sizes the spool rim is over the cage so all Uniqua reels allow "palming" for ultimate fish control. Along with the offset drag, Uniqua reels have a distinctive "click" check that produces that classic sound with a fish on. These reels are equally at home in fresh or saltwater and while they fit the Hardy Uniqua Rods perfectly they are ideal for any angler who prefers the design and sensitivity of an offset drag system.
