In 1954 The Merrimack Canoe Company pioneered the use of wood and the then new fiberglass technology for a superb lightweight but strong canoe. Today's Merrimack craftsmen have added Kevlar for an even stronger and lighter weight canoe with the same beauty, functionality, style, and they back all their canoes with a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship.
