SPOT
works independently of cell phone services and satellite coverage
includes all of North America. Spot requires a basic service
plan to operate, $99.99 per year that includes the Alert 911,
Check in, and Help functions. The Track mode requires a Track
Progress service upgrade of an additional $49.99 per year.

to activate, setup, and personalize SPOT |

After purchase the user chooses
a service plan, registers and activates SPOT using http://www.findmespot.com |

Using findmespot.com the user enters their
friends and family contact list. Up to 10 email and 10 cell
phone contacts can be entered for the "Help" or "OK"
functions |

The user can customize the messages for "Help"
and "OK" notifications. The messages can contain 115
characters and can be changed via the spot website at any time |

The tracking feature can be added by subscribing
to the tracking upgrade feature on the SPOT website ($49.99
per year). When the user selects the tracking feature mode on
SPOT, SPOT's position is plotted every 10 minutes for 24 hours.
With the user's permission, anyone with an internet connection
can monitor your progress. |
