Creek Outdoors is proud to be the Central Florida and the greater Orlando
area Vermont Canoe & Kayak dealer. Rob and Amy Scharges had a vision
of reviving the art of canoe building in Vermont's Mad River Valley, former
home of Mad River Canoe. In a barn just 150 yards from the Mad River,
the couple established Vermont Canoe & Kayak in 2003, enlisting veteran
Mad River Canoe craftsmen to oversee production. The first model, the
16-foot Encore, hit the icy waters of the Mad in March 2004. Vermont Canoe
introduced two new models for 2006, the Tupper, an Adirondack-style pack
boat, and the Sokoki, a beamy sport canoe designed by Jim Henry. For 2009,
the in-demand solo favorite, the "Indy" is back. |

Tupper |
This
classic design is now is married with new technology in the form of Kevlar.
At only 25lbs, this solo canoe can carry up to 550lbs. The strength and
light weight of the Kevlar make this a great boat for portage expeditions
or simply paddling in the backyard lake. |

| Sokoki |
At
fourteen feet, the Sokoki Canoe is a great tandem. A beam of 39"
makes it stable for families, but also for fisherman and hunters as well.
Its fiberglass and kevlar construction keep weight down, but also mean
this boat will be around for years to come. |

| Encore |
The
Encore is another tandem from Vermont Canoe and is probably the most versatile
boat in the lineup. At 16' this boat is great for overnight or weekend
trips down the river or on the lake. The symetrical hull with a shallow-vee
means it paddles well in flowing waters and has great tracking abilities
for long hauls. |
